Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. As Artistic director of SSC She was also SSC's composer, musician and text director as well as the costume, set and music design. Although she usually led from inside her ensemble of actors but in the final year of work alongside SSC King Lear, she took on the role of director and light designer.
